A Proven Leader in Public Sector Governance and Strategy

With over 20 years of experience in governance, strategy, and communications, Belinda Tobin has dedicated her career to strengthening public sector institutions. Through her extensive work with public sector agencies in New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory, Western Australia and Queensland, Belinda has played a pivotal role in assisting government organisations to deliver on their community commitments.

In her early consulting career Belinda worked with Accenture and Effective Governance, where she advised multinational clients across London, Tel Aviv, Kuala Lumpur, and Moscow on good governance and successful strategic management systems.

Most recently she has been integral embedding best practice governance principles in the Queensland public sector. Her work at the Department of Transport and Main Road and the TransLink Transit Authority included development of governance frameworks, committee structures, and systems for strategy, policy, compliance and performance. Her work has directly improved decision-making frameworks, strengthened a focus on performance and instilled confidence in the agencies by stakeholders and the community.

Belinda’s commitment to excellence in governance is reinforced by her academic achievements, including a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Queensland and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Wollongong. Additionally, she holds a Certificate of Governance from the Governance Institute of Australia, further cementing her expertise in public administration.
